The National Park Village is located halfway between Auckland and Wellington. It is situated between the UNESCO world heritage Tongariro National Park and the Whanganui National Park. It is just a short drive to the world-renowned Tongariro Crossing and the base of Mt Ruapehu.
Getting there by bus: Intercity runs a regular service to National Park Village. The bus stops at the nearby station cafe, a short walk from Alpine Chalets.
